Charger works as advertisedDurabilityThis is a replacement charger, so there's not much to say about. We received a throw-out curb side Power Wheels Jeep with a charger and 3 batteries and everything was dead. Subsequent testing with a VOM showed that the charger was dead, so that was the first replacement. Later--surprise--the batteries all had to be replaced as well. However, I have a suggestion for the DIY inclined. This is a basic charger and the directions specify a minimum and a maximum charging time, which is not very convenient. The more expensive charger will adjust automatically so you don't overcharge the battery. But that charger is really expensive. In fact, in hindsight, what I should have done is kept battery-connector end of the old charger by cutting the wires, so I had the proper connector for these proprietary batteries. Then I could have connected my car-sized battery charger to the Power Wheels battery using the proprietary connector salvaged from the old charger. Of course you'll want to put appropriate connectors on the back half, the ones you'll clamp your battery charger on. If you don't already have a car battery charger, then just buy this one or the more expensive trickle charger. But if you already have a decent charger, you just need to salvage the proprietary end. Just a suggestion--and of course keep the charger away from the kids, which is probably why it has this safety system on it in the first place! Not much to say... It's a charger for the PowerWheels Escalade EXT that the neighbor pushed over to my house and said, "I'll try to find the charger later". Thanks. Anyway, this charger fits and works as expected; it charges the battery in about 18 hours. Fitting the end of the charger into the battery isn't as intuitive as you'd think, but there are small black + and - symbols on one side of the charger that match up with the battery port. For about twenty bucks this is great. This power wheels charger was a life saver because my wife wanted me to buy a brand new battery for our son jeep. So I pulled out the handy multi-meter and observed the battery had a slight voltage on it, not much. But that let me know the battery wasn't the problem. So I plug in my old charger and my multi-meter gets no reading at all. That's when I knew the problem was the charger and not our battery.Got the charger out the box, plugged it up, connected it to my battery and it worked great. Gave my battery a full charge in around 5 to 6 hours. The charger connector is something you have to get use to because it's not a perfect fit. You have to angle it in the exact position as the battery but once you figure it out, it's very easy to use.Much better price point also than buying in person at stores so happy about this discounted price.Performed as expected, charges from dead to full in about 6-12 hours. Depends on how old your dead battery is and how well it takes a charge, but this is not a speed charger. If you are trying to power up Dora's Jeep from dead, expect to do some scootering or biking while this charges up. Best to get a full charge. Honestly, I have charged my Power Wheels batteries 2-3 times in 2 years and they stay amazingly charged, even through mud in Georgia. Not sure why, but they do. So buy this, it works perfectly.Con: Trying to figure out how it plugs in seems odd. When you get it you will think you bought the wrong thing, but it fits, believe me. It is the weirdest connector I have seen, but there is only one way to get it right. 6 hours to charge. Easy to lose, so keep it near your battery or machine.Pro: Great charger, works as promised, easy to use. Cheap.I was concerned because the plug is different than what is on the car. But it fits right in there and works well.Perfect fit and finish and recharges fast . Came with a half charge already on it.The description for this product is misleading. It indicates power wheels/fisher price in description. This is not a Fisher Price item. IT IS AFTER MARKET. It does not have any indicator lights for status of charging. You never know if you have a fully charged battery or if you are always charging a half charged battery. Poor design. I have received several responses to charging length all very different. Would have gladly paid extra for indicator lights. Do not recommend. If you don’t charge these batteries properly it will shorten their life. Was unable to tell if it truly works, did not charge battery I had, however it may have been done with (battery). Still I got it to test if battery was too far gone, which it did show me. I recommend t as a replacement part, as it was affordable and arrived within a reasonable time.Excelente. Idéntico al que venía con el producto.Quick and easy, exactly as described.A++??
