Bought this to convert my mother's walker w/o wheels to one with wheels. Once the leg extensions of the walker were removed, trying to get the posts of the wheel extensions into the walkwer was quite tight. I almost thought it would not work as the tube diameters were almost the same (so one post could not fit within the other post), but was able to get them in and slide them up and down to the right height.The wheels are just the right hardness for use on hardwood floors... not so hard that they make a lot of noise as they roll over each wood joint on the floor, and not so soft as to put rubber marks on the floors.I mounted the wheels facing out to allow more leg room within the inside of the walker, plus that wheel orientation is much more stable for the walker. Some other wheels on Amazon people noted that they could not mount the wheels facing out, only the more conventional way of facing the wheels in. Again.. huge diff in stability of the walker with the wheels facing out... important for elders. This is a reason I did not buy the other wheels on Amazon, but got these ones for a few $$$ more.The wheels also run nice and quiet.. no sqeaking at all.. and no 'slop' in the axles so so that the wheels wobble.The wheels also roll straight and true. Some reviewers of other wheels indicated issues here.. again another reason I did not buy other wheels on Amazon.In short.. after reading the reviews of the various wheels I could have bought on Amazon... I am very satisfied with this purchase and well worth the few extra $$$ vs. buy the 'cheapest cost' ones. You will be happy too.Hope my time writing this benefits others in the same 'elder needs' situation as I am.Jim
