Reading the reviews about this 16' kickstand being too short was helpful, so I also ordered the 20" one in case. The 16" was definitely too short, so I put on the 20" one which was almost too long, but still did the job. I put the 16" one on a 12" bike and it fits fine. My advise is to buy the Bell Sports 100 Adjustable Kickstand, with a screw that positively locks your desired length in place. I did this for another 16" bike, and I know I can re-use it for other-sized kids bikes, even an adult one. All the kickstands were made of high quality.
